PSA Education Portal

The PSA Education Portal is your go-to hub for sustainability learning and activity tracking.

Built to complement the annual On-Farm Assessment, the portal helps PSA program participants and members access educational resources, log activities, and demonstrate progress across key focus areas: Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions, Water Stewardship, Food Waste, Soil Health, Farmer Prosperity, Biodiversity, and Integrated Pest Management.

These focus areas reflect priorities identified by potato industry stakeholders. While the on-farm assessment measures and reports sustainable production practices within these areas, the PSA Education Portal provides an additional tool with resources to improve results and track participation in important sustainability efforts happening in the field and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can submit activities?

Only PSA members can submit activities to the Education Portal. This includes any individuals who are directly affiliated with a PSA member organization — Members.

In some cases, activities may also come from partner organizations or initiatives where PSA holds membership or is actively engaged. If you are unsure whether your submission is eligible, please contact PSA Program Manager, Natalie Nesburg.

Who can see my recorded activities?

Activities you log are private and are not shared with anyone. PSA receives aggregate summaries of total hours recorded for each activity type within each focus area.

Is participation in the PSA Education Portal required for the PSA Program?

No—participation in the PSA Education Portal is optional. Enrolled growers may be required to complete the annual on-farm assessment, through which they are recognized as program participants. The portal is an additional tool that complements the assessment by providing resources for continuous improvement and activity tracking in the same focus areas.

What topics are eligible for upload?

Content submitted will be aligned to the PSA program focus areas for tracking and reporting continuous improvement:

  • GHG Emissions
  • Water Stewardship
  • Food Waste
  • Soil Health
  • Farmer Prosperity
  • Biodiversity
  • Integrated Pest Management.

A single activity may cover one or multiple topics.
