The Potato Sustainablity Alliance Accounces Newest Member – HZPC Americas Corp

As the Potato Sustainability Alliance continues to expand, it announced today that the Charlottetown, P.E.I.-based breeding and seed potato trading company HZPC Americas Corp has joined the Alliance.  As an active member in the Potato Sustainability Alliance, HZPC will work together with member companies, grower organizations, conservation groups, academia, public sector partners and other stakeholders, representing over $100 billion in combined revenue, to continue improving potato sustainability in the United States and Canada.

Founded in 1898 and rooted in The Netherlands, HZPC has grown to become a global market leader in seed potato trading, innovative breeding and concept development.  HZPC offers innovative potato varieties that are optimized for local growing conditions.  With over 400 employees across 19 countries, and exports to over 90 countries, HZPC contributes to the availability of responsible food for the well-being of millions of people worldwide.
